Senior Machinist Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Technician to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department, you will be responsible for providing prototype machining services in a developmental environment, working with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems, and collaborating with a team across multiple disciplines to provide best result solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prototype machining services in a developmental environment, often with quick turnaround prototype solutions for various programs throughout the enterprise.
- Work with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems.

Qualifications
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or technical drawings.
- Experience with manual machining equipment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a mechanical machine shop environment using CNC equipment.
- Experience with CNC, including programming, setup, and operation on both Mill and Lathe.
- Knowledgeable in the setup/operation of manual CMM's.
- Basic experience in the development and manipulation of computer-generated 3D models in Creo, or similar CAD system.
- CAM Software: Mastercam or equivalent.
- Competent computer skills – Windows, MS Office products.
