Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Project Manager to join our team at the University of Michigan. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects related to facilities operations, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple projects related to facilities operations, including project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities planning and development, to ensure alignment and effective project execution.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including facility leaders, project managers, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and University of Michigan policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, facilities management, or construction management.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project management, preferably in a facilities operations or construction management role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software, such as Asana or Trello.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as engineering, facilities management, or construction management.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a higher education or healthcare environment.
