About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Generator Repair Apprentice to join our team at Clarke Energy. As a Generator Repair Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our distributed power plant solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Progress through our Technician Tier system by increasing your knowledge and skills, including hands-on experience with INNIO gas engines, TPI RNG Solutions, and MAN gas engines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing equipment issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize advanced technologies to diagnose and resolve equipment issues remotely, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including engine oil changes, part replacements, and data collection, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to identify and implement improvements, optimize processes, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of basic engine fundamentals, electrical systems, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Gas engine mechanical and/or electrical knowledge/experience.
  • Gas/Diesel engine powered generator training or equivalent technical education.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis, reporting, and remote troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and engineers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
