About the Role

Motocruit is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join their team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have sustained non-structural damage such as dents, scratches, and minor body damage.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of non-structural damage on vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels with new or used parts, depending on the customer's preference and budget.
  • Sand, fill, weld, and smooth vehicle surfaces to prepare them for painting.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to repair dents, scratches, and other non-structural damage.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair, with an emphasis on non-structural repairs.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
  • Ability to mix and match paint to achieve an exact color match.
  • Experience in repairing dents, scratches, and other non-structural damage.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Relevant certification(s) such as ASE Non-Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class certification is preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
