Job Title: Sheet Metal Foreman

At Besco, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of sheet metal components and ensuring that our projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand project plans and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Responsible for sketching and approving ductwork and fittings for shop fabrication.
  • Conduct daily JSAs and assign work tasks to sheet metal mechanics and helpers to meet job schedules.
  • Communicate with General Superintendent for manpower needs and attend weekly job site meetings.
  • Conduct weekly safety toolbox talks and ensure employees have proper tools and PPE.
  • Maintain as-built redlined drawings for closeout documents.
  • Calmly manage disagreements, conflicts, and crises as required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate electric and/or battery-powered tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. at times.
  • Ability to ascend and descend step ladders and work from elevated scissor lifts and scaffolding.
Qualifications for Success:
  • 5+ years' experience in a related field.
  • Adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes.
  • Able to work independently and across multiple teams and levels within and outside of the organization and take initiative on projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
