Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of nursing and ancillary associates in the Operating Room.
  • Develop and maintain competence of assigned associates.
  • Coordinate inventory management, budgeting, and performance improvement activities.
  • Participate in performance improvement/research activities and maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.
Requirements:
  • New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
  • Master's degree from an accredited program required or must be registered in a master's program with projected graduation date in three years of position acceptance.
  • M.S.N. preferred.
  • Minimum of five years management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of OR experience.
  • C.N.O.R Certification.
  • Membership in A.O.R.N.
  • BLS
