Veterinary Kennel Attendant Job Description

Coyne Veterinary Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Kennel Attendant to join their team. As a key member of the hospital staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to boarding pets and hospitalized patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Animal Care: Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise to boarding pets and hospitalized patients.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly check each pet for abnormal activity and report any concerns to doctors and technicians.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document animal care and medical information.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect cages, runs, and yards as needed.
  • Assisting with Medical Procedures: Assist doctors and technicians with medical procedures and treatments.
  • Client Communication: Interact with clients in person and over the phone to provide excellent customer service.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting and Carrying: Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing and Walking: Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods.
  • Noisy Work Environment: Work in a noisy environment with sounds from animals and equipment.
