Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team at Vetcelerator. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care, including restraining animals, collecting samples, and monitoring vital signs during exams and procedures.
- Prepare for exams and surgeries by setting up exam rooms and preparing animals for procedures, ensuring everything is clean and organized for the veterinary team.
- Assist with diagnostic tests such as blood draws, X-rays, and sample collection, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining treatment plans and post-care instructions to ensure they feel informed and supported regarding their pets' health.
- Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians, assist with wound care, and help with other treatments under the supervision of the vet.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in exam rooms, surgical suites, and treatment areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience working in a veterinary setting is required, ideally in a veterinary assistant or similar role.
- A deep love for animals and a commitment to providing compassionate care is essential.
