Maryhill Winery, a premier winery in the Northwest, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prep & Line Cook to join our talented team at our Vancouver Tasting Room & Bistro.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 per hour DOE, with full participation in a tip pool ($7.00-$12.00 per hour), sales incentive program, Employee Assistance Program, employee discount, sick leave accrual, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K benefits.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service in supporting our efficiently run high-volume culinary operation, ensuring our guests receive the best food quality possible as part of an immersive wine-tasting experience.

This role involves presenting a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic service-oriented attitude, efficiently running a high-volume scratch culinary line operation, organizing and coordinating prep lines, following strict adherence to deadlines and product quality, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Present a welcoming service-oriented attitude to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Efficiently manage a high-volume culinary line operation while prioritizing quality and timeliness.
  • Organize and coordinate prep lines to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Adhere to high standards of food safety and quality, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Self-manage tasks and work independently, demonstrating ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Manage inventory levels and prep par levels, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and promote a positive work environment.
  • Regularly review and adjust processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-volume culinary operations, preferably in a winery or restaurant setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members.
  • Awareness of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Food handlers card or SERV Safe/HACCP Certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally.
  • Physical stamina to work long periods on feet, with frequent walking and standing.
