Position Overview: Operations Assistant

Embark on a rewarding career as an entry-level Operations Assistant, playing a vital role in the effective operation of the Baltimore City Chamber. This position entails providing program support and organization across various departments, managing inventory, executing new policies, and collaborating with the Board Executive Committee to ensure operational excellence.

Work Environment: Primarily remote for general support; in-person attendance required for Chamber events (3-4 events monthly)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support:
    • Assist in daily operations to facilitate seamless business processes
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and workflows
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Provide administrative support, including document preparation, filing, and managing correspondence
  • Inventory Oversight:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and place orders for supply replenishment
  • Policy Execution:
    • Assist in the implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance overall efficiency
  • Project Coordination:
    • Support project management tasks, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Board Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the Board Executive Committee and board members to achieve operational goals
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks and Special Projects:
    • Manage assigned ad-hoc tasks and special projects from the Board Executive Committee
  • Website Management:
    • Update the Chamber website with new members and sponsorships, ensuring accurate information
  • Event Coordination:
    • Assist in organizing and managing marketing events, contributing to the success of Chamber initiatives

Qualifications:
