We are seeking a driven Sales Professional to join our team at ChalkTalk. With a proven track record of successfully selling educational products or services to K-12 school districts, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for our digital curriculum and instruction solutions.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to make a meaningful impact in the world of education. As a Sales Professional at ChalkTalk, you will be working closely with district leaders to understand their needs and demonstrate how our platform can add significant value to their educational objectives.
With a strong focus on deals for Curriculum & Instruction (C&I), you will generate leads aggressively and follow up with prospects until they are disqualified. You will also represent ChalkTalk at conferences, trade shows, and regional events, delivering customer value and owning the entire sales lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Sell digital curriculum and instruction deals to K-12 public school districts
- Lead Generation: Generate leads aggressively (cold calls and cold emails) and follow up with 100% of prospects promptly until they are disqualified
- Lead Conversion: Achieve and surpass sales targets by closing deals with district leaders, resulting in increased revenue for the company
- Successful Territory Penetration: Identify the most painful needs that districts have (territory level and individual district level) and match the right product offering to the right district
- Represent ChalkTalk at conferences, trade shows, and regional events
- Deliver Customer Value: Be the trusted advisor to prospects, understanding their needs, and demonstrating how ChalkTalk's platform can add significant value to their educational objectives
- At least 2+ years of experience in successfully selling educational products or services to K-12 school districts, with a focus on deals for Curriculum & Instruction (C&I)
- Experience working at a high-growth startup (150 employees or less)
- Mental Fortitude: Resiliency to push through rejection and roadblocks to meet goals
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, including curriculum needs and challenges faced by school districts
- Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
