Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician Senior to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics/electronic systems and aircraft equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics/electronic systems and aircraft equipment.
  2. Lead and mentor junior technicians in the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems.
  3. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  4. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  5. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  2. APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
