Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform operational and functional tests on avionics and electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft.
  2. Provide direct training to personnel to support company cross-training goals.
  3. Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes.
  5. Repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
  6. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  7. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests, and evaluate performance and reliability.
  8. Document all work performed on the aircraft, ensuring proper and complete documentation.
  9. Enforce company safety regulations, FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and other relevant policies.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
