Job Title: LEGO Robotics Instructor

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is seeking a creative and passionate Robotics Instructor to join our team. As a Robotics Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and leading structured lessons and workshops that teach students how to design, build, and program LEGO robots.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging LEGO robotics lessons that are suitable for 9th - 12th grade students.
  • Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Provide guidance and support to students as they build and program their robots.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Ensure the proper safety and proper use of all robotics equipment and materials.
  • Prepare for each session by organizing materials and setting up a classroom.
Requirements:
  • Experience with LEGO Robotics, LEGO League, LEGO Mindstorms, and LEGO NXT Robotics is highly preferred.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for STEM education and working with youth.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the program.
Benefits:
  • Employment Status: Part Time-Non Exempt
  • Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Onboarding Process:
  • BGCP will cover all onboarding process requirements
  • Complete LiveScan and Checkr background check
  • Undergo a TB test
