Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for developing reliable, scalable, and cost-effective simulation-based products that evaluate the Bear's robotics software stack at a massive scale.

It will include solving complex technical challenges to build services and tools for a broad range of customers – Software Engineers, Product, System Engineering, and more, so cross-team collaboration and an interest in learning new things are core parts of your role as an engineer here.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and evolve a large-scale simulation infrastructure.
  • Be responsible for reliability, latency, and cost-effectiveness of simulations.
  • Optimize performance of simulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:
Experience using C++ and Python.

Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.

Past experience with ROS, or understanding of fundamental usage.

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:
Experience in simulating Autonomous systems, Robotics, or other highly complex systems.

Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles.

Experience with containerization and virtualization environments.

Previous experience in startups or fast-paced engineering teams.

Master's degree or PhD in CS or related field.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's in CS or related field.

2+ years industry experience.

The pay range for this position is $130K-$146K. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
