Position Overview

Job Title: Floating Assistant Teacher

Location: Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center

We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Floating Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will have the opportunity to work with children of all ages, from infants to school-age children, and contribute to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment in every class you assist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rotate between different classrooms, assisting with daily activities and lessons across all age groups.
  • Provide support wherever needed, from leading small group activities to one-on-one mentoring, helping to manage classroom dynamics, and stepping in for lead teachers as required.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and engaging environment for all children.
  • Engage with all children, building strong relationships and becoming a familiar, comforting presence in their day.
  • Collaborate closely with the entire teaching staff, offering flexibility and support across the center.

Please note that all center and licensing requirements must be maintained within the room/center at all times. You must be 16 years of age or older, pass a Nebraska Child and Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check, pass a background check, and undergo the Nebraska State Patrol fingerprinting process. Rate of pay is based on experience, position, and type of degree, if any.

Compensation details: 12-15 Hourly Wage
