About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Materials Testing Senior Field Technician to join our team at ECS Limited. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment, adhering to industry standards and compliance.
  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers, keeping them informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requirements.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs and certification opportunities to enhance your professional skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing and field services.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Must have and maintain current basic level certifications and be willing to obtain additional advanced certifications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry and lift heavy equipment and materials, with occasional lifting of up to 85 pounds.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and insurance, with suitable transportation for use on job sites.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Math Skills: Excellent math skills, with ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops, and basic knowledge of MS Office.
