Position Summary: The Clinical Assessment Supervisor is tasked with overseeing daily operations and ensuring that the needs of our clients are met while adhering to all program standards set forth by relevant governing bodies. This leadership role is crucial in managing all assessment activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise assessment personnel, including the management of pre-assessment, psychosocial evaluations, and initial treatment planning. This role encompasses providing clinical oversight to guarantee the quality of care and interventions, as well as handling administrative responsibilities such as monitoring staff performance and outcomes.
  • Engage in meetings and collaborate with various referral sources, including healthcare facilities, outreach teams, law enforcement, and other community mental health organizations as necessary.
  • Gather and maintain data on treatment outcomes to inform program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, with eligibility as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
  • Licensure as an LPC or LCSW; provisional licenses may be considered.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the mental/behavioral health sector.
  • Prior leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.

Additional Competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and regulations pertinent to the assigned program.
  • In-depth knowledge of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues and the community resources available to them.
  • Aptitude for developing, coordinating, and evaluating services within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and produce concise reports.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction to all assessment staff.
  • Actively monitor the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.
  • Encourage involvement from all employees to achieve organizational goals.
  • Effectively communicate any departmental changes and significant updates to all staff members.
  • Address challenging personnel situations with discretion and in consultation with Human Resources.
  • Champion innovative changes and manage the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and seek input from team members at all levels.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and communicate results as necessary.
