At Phoenix Behavioral Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Admissions Coordinator to join our expanding Behavioral Health Admissions Department.

Job Description

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

We are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service skills to help ease the client and referral experience, working with clients with mental health and addiction issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing initial screenings for program appropriateness
  • Scheduling new behavioral health intakes in open appointment slots
  • Obtaining medical records from referral sources, pharmacies, outside treatment providers, and PCPs
  • Creating new client charts in electronic medical records
  • Scanning and uploading documents
  • Sending fax requests
  • Obtaining and verifying insurance through existing systems
  • Attending training sessions
  • Providing feedback on client experience and areas for improvement
  • Making confirmation calls
  • Coordinating with department directors, clinicians, and prescribers
