Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at HCA Houston Healthcare West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and complete patient paperwork, including exam, scheduling, and physician orders.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologists.
  • MRI registry (ARRT) required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • 2 years' experience in a hospital-imaging department preferred.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
