Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist Reg PRN to join our team at HCA Houston ER 24/7. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing technical duties under the direction of the Manager, Lead CT Tech and/or Medical Director of Radiology, obtaining quality diagnostic examinations, and providing excellent customer service to patients, family, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality diagnostic images according to protocol
  • Ensure all orders have the required 5 elements
  • Enter orders into RIS accurately and efficiently
  • Follow radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area
  • Participate in departmental accreditation processes and QA
  • Transport patients as necessary
  • Effectively manage problems and resolve conflicts in a professional manner
Requirements
  • At least one year of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Associate Degree or Certificate
