Virginia Family Services is seeking a skilled Residential Crisis Stabilization Aide to join our team in the Crisis Residential Services program.
Job Responsibilities- Provide support to individuals in need of a safe environment while obtaining assessment, stabilization, and prevention of further escalation or decompensation.
- Assist individuals in achieving their goals and objectives through personalized support and guidance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage aggressive behaviors.
- Document all interactions and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- One (1) year of relevant experience in a community or facility setting providing direct support to individuals in services.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to complete required documentation within deadlines
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to respond appropriately to aggressive behaviors with the least restrictive interventions
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Proficient personal computer operations skills including Word, Excel
