We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to enhance our team in Bend, OR.

Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality components according to specified drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, load, and unload materials and components, verifying programs and operating controls.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions or machining discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with management and other personnel to address machining or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Propose and implement process improvements.
  • Communicate production-related issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols before and during operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to quality, service, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes.
  • Familiarity with Okuma, Makino, and Fanuc machinery preferred.
  • Manual machining experience is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:
This role is situated in a standard machine shop environment, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
