The Senior Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role within our IT department, ensuring that our team members have reliable access to a diverse range of computer systems, characterized by exceptional uptime, operational resilience, and secure access. Key Responsibilities:System Management
  • Design, implement, manage, and enhance our physical server infrastructure.
  • Oversee the architecture, deployment, management, and optimization of our virtual servers and hosts.
  • Administer and optimize our telecommunications systems.
  • Research and integrate new technologies into our operational environment.
  • Supervise and address concerns related to our data centers.
Domain and Service Administration
  • Manage and enhance our Active Directory domain.
  • Oversee and improve our Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Administer core enterprise services, including email, document storage, file sharing, and FTP.
  • Provide support and guidance related to your areas of expertise.
Security Management
  • Manage, patch, and update systems under your responsibility.
  • Ensure the backup, replication, and security of data.
  • Assist in the design, support, testing, and validation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
System Monitoring and Documentation
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring and reporting of systems.
  • Document all systems and provide continuous updates.
  • Implement logging and alerting mechanisms for systems.
  • Conduct audits for compliance, patch levels, OS versions, and overall system health.
  • Investigate issues and provide technical feedback to team members.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to support the overall objectives of the position.

Qualifications:Required:
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and industry certification.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware and Microsoft enterprise environments, including Windows Server OS, PowerShell scripting, SCCM, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPOs.
  • A valid driver's license.
Preferred:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $140,000 annually. At Pacific Seafood, your base salary is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes:
