We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Enginuity Advantage. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our engineering efforts and overseeing the development and implementation of our water systems and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to develop and implement engineering standards and specifications for water system infrastructure projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of water system maps and hydraulic models to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Develop and update standards and guidelines for the design and preparation of engineering studies, plans, and specifications for water system infrastructure projects.
- Recommend and oversee the work of consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with district and industry standards.
- Participate in the bidding process and make bid award recommendations to the General Manager.
- Develop and review construction and materials supply specifications to ensure compliance with district and industry standards.
- Advise and consult with other departments on matters related to water system infrastructure, maintenance, and facilities.
- Represent the district as a technical expert to industry leaders, clients, customers, government agencies, and water utilities.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with 5+ years in a management capacity.
- Registered Oregon Professional Engineer.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The employee will be required to sit, walk, talk, and hear, as well as use hands to finger, grasp, and feel objects or controls. The employee may occasionally stand, lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 lbs., or otherwise move objects. The employee may also be exposed to confined spaces, odors, fumes, and dust from excavations.
