Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Ta Systems Inc.

Job Summary:

  • The ideal candidate will design, develop, and troubleshoot custom machine applications using modern software practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work includes taking customer-supplied control logic, I/O database, etc. and creating control configuration and network architecture.
  2. Produce electric controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues as needed.
  3. Researching and developing electric controls engineering techniques and approaches.
  4. Verifying and validating designs as needed.
  5. Design graphical user interfaces.
  6. Configure and program software.
  7. Program control sequences.
  8. Provide system documentation as required.
  9. Testing and debugging.
  10. Customer training and support.
  11. Sound technical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  12. Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance several projects in parallel.
  13. Evaluates project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex problems.
  14. Additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of direct field experience or equivalent.
  • Sound skills with technical, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Understanding of Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman Robotics.
  • Must be able to program using RSLogics 5000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and various platforms.
  • Must be able to program with Factory Talk View Studio, Siemens Win CC, and various platforms.
  • Must be able to program Keyence, Cognex, Dalsa, and be interested in programming other vision systems.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on location and experience.
