Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Automation Specialist to join our team at Ta Systems Inc. As an Electrical Automation Specialist, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot custom machine applications using modern software practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer supplied control logic, I/O database, etc. into effective control configuration and network architecture.
  • Create electric controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues as needed.
  • Develop electric controls engineering techniques and approaches through research and innovation.
  • Verify and validate designs as required to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design user-friendly graphical interfaces to facilitate seamless interaction with our systems.
  • Configure and program software to meet the needs of our diverse projects.
  • Program control sequences to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Provide detailed system documentation as required to support smooth operations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality results.
  • Deliver exceptional customer training and support to foster long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrate sound technical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills to drive success.
  • Maintain the ability to manage multiple priorities and advance several projects in parallel to meet deadlines.
  • Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex problems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the growth and success of our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or similar field.
  • 5+ years of direct field experience or equivalent in electrical automation engineering.
  • Solid skills in technical, troubleshooting, and documentation to drive success.
  • In-depth understanding of Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman Robotics systems.
  • Able to program using RSLogics 5000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and various platforms.
  • Able to program with Factory Talk View Studio, Siemens Win CC, and various platforms.
  • Able to program Keyence, Cognex, Dalsa, and interested in programming other vision systems.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum
