Position Type: PRN

Core Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care to both inpatients and outpatients by establishing, implementing, and advocating for high standards of quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive understanding of professional pharmacy practices.
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy medication distribution systems.
  • Ability to monitor medication therapies across various patient age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting the English language.
  • Capable of identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining productive relationships with patients, medical staff, and the community.
  • Adept at interpreting, adapting, and applying guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to supervise pharmacy support staff effectively.

Licensing/Certification Requirements

  • Must be licensed by the Board of Pharmacy to practice in South Carolina.
  • Primary Source Verification is required.

Educational Background

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited A.C.P.E. College of Pharmacy.

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience or relevant experience during pharmacy education or internship is essential.
