Position: Retail Pharmacist
Type: PRN
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care to both inpatients and outpatients by upholding and advocating for superior standards of quality care.
Core Competencies
- Thorough understanding of professional pharmacy practices.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy medication distribution systems.
- Ability to monitor medication therapies across various age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting the English language.
- Adept at identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Capable of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with patients, medical staff, and the community.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply established guidelines and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, with the capability to supervise pharmacy support staff effectively.

Licensing and Certification
- Must be licensed by the Board of Pharmacy to practice in South Carolina.

Educational Background
- Graduate of an accredited A.C.P.E. College of Pharmacy.
Experience
- Prior hospital experience or relevant experience during pharmacy education or internship is mandatory.

Working Environment
This role may involve:
- Periods of high stress and varying workloads.
- Occasional travel, not exceeding 10%.
- General office environment with potential exposure to high noise levels and bright lights.
- Possible exposure to physical altercations and verbal abuse.
