As PCIS continues to expand, we are committed to delivering an exceptional platform that meets the diverse needs of Plan Sponsors, Participants, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and Investment Advisors.

In the role of Cashiering Team Manager, you will oversee a dedicated group of 5-10 professionals responsible for the management of financial transactions within PCIS.

This position requires a leader who understands the intricacies of team dynamics and the expectations necessary to provide outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the financial transaction systems utilized at Schwab.

Success in this role demands consistent high-level performance and adherence to quality objectives established by the Director, in alignment with the needs of our corporate clients and plan providers, while maintaining team standards.

This managerial position will report directly to the Director of PCIS Operations and will encompass oversight of all team activities, including wire transfers, financial movements, and necessary approvals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting annual objectives for the team and guiding employees to meet these goals.
  • Addressing performance issues promptly and respectfully.
  • Enhancing operational processes to improve efficiency.
  • Supporting the team in establishing essential controls to mitigate risks.
  • Building and nurturing relationships across Schwab, particularly with Schwab Retirement Plan Service, Charles Schwab Trust Bank, Schwab Retirement Technologies, and Institutional PCRA clients.

In this role, you will manage multiple priorities effectively, balancing high productivity with exceptional service quality while meeting established service level standards.

Performing duties with confidence and sound judgment is essential to mitigate risks for the organization. Compliance with all risk management procedures and adherence to corporate and industry protocols is required.

Additional responsibilities may include completing tasks and projects as assigned by management.

What you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of cashiering experience.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Understanding of regulations governing qualified retirement plans and familiarity with ERISA is preferred.
  • Strong client service skills and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • A sense of urgency, along with operational, organizational, and follow-up skills to manage complex tasks.
  • Capability to identify and resolve intricate issues collaboratively with various levels of management and business partners.
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations in a spirit of collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, fostering proactive dialogue with senior leaders and peers.
  • Proficient technical skills, including the ability to use multiple applications simultaneously, such as MS Word, Excel, and database systems.
