Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Adult Psychiatric Unit. As a Registered Nurse III, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, while also providing direction and guidance to Psychiatric Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to patients, including oral and injectable medications, to relieve anxiety, control behavior, and treat physical problems.
  • Perform various treatments ordered by physicians to ensure patients' optimal physical and mental well-being.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure.
  • Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with experience in administration of medications and provision of comprehensive nursing care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and provide high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.
Working Conditions

This position will perform work in a hospital setting with exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a volatile situation and maintain a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
