Licensed Practical Nurse - Residential Services
Job Summary:Skyland Trail, a nonprofit mental health residential treatment program, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Residential Services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Collaborate with community psychiatrists and other providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer medications and monitor self-administration of medications at residential sites and health and wellness clinics.
- Perform medical and health screenings, collect specimens, and obtain vital signs and weights.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on activities of daily living, interpersonal and socialization skills.
- Participate in crisis situations and intervene as necessary to decrease panic.
- Facilitate educational groups and participate in change of shift reports.
- Current Practical Nursing licensure for Georgia without restrictions.
- Minimum of two years' experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Current physical and PPD.
- Unrestricted mobility and ability to physically support patients in urgent or emergent medical issues.
