Job SummaryThe Director of Events is a key member of our team, responsible for partnering with the USS Sales team to secure new events contracts. This role oversees P&L management, project management, change orders, and customer relations for large events. The Director will also manage Regional Project Managers to ensure successful event operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and motivate Regional Project Managers to achieve high levels of performance.
- Monitor monthly metrics and scorecard reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the execution of a broad range of projects for events.
- Review field tasks and develop safety procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Assess and validate subcontractor training and certifications.
- Manage resources to achieve identified priorities.
- Work with customers to establish reuse, reduction, recycling, and alternate treatment options.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance.
- Monitor sub-contractor services for completeness or deficiencies.
- Travel minimum 50%.
- Minimum 4-year Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- 7 years of related experience in operations, management, and/or sales.
- 5 years of Special Events experience.
- Experience with event planning and logistics management.
- Successful experience in people development and leading/managing operations teams.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Competitive Analysis.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant agencies' regulations.
