About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care RN to join our team at Swedish Cherry Hill. As a member of our critical care unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans\
• Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes or complications\
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information\
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in the field\
• Foster a culture of safety and quality within the unit\
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques\
• Assist with procedures, including intubations, tracheal suctioning, and hemodynamic monitoring\
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues\
• Stay up-to-date on local, national, and international guidelines for critical care\
• Collaborate with other departments, such as radiology, pharmacy, and social services, to ensure seamless patient care\
• Cultivate a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution skills\
• Prioritize tasks efficiently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and situations\
• Support and participate in unit-based projects and initiatives to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and overall experience\
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and educational programs\
• Act as a resource and mentor to new staff members and students\
• Engage in performance improvement activities to identify areas for growth and optimize patient care processes\
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations\
• Document all incidents, near misses, and adverse events according to hospital policy\
• Participate in quality improvement projects, chart audits, and other initiatives aimed at improving patient care and outcomes\
• Attend required meetings, in-services, and training sessions to stay updated on policies, procedures, and best practices\
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs and ensure optimal care transitions\
• Effectively utilize technology, such as electronic medical records, to streamline documentation and communication\
• Establish open lines of communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and collaborative care\

  Salary Range: $145,000 - $180,000 per year

  Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

  Certifications: Current Washington State RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and NIH Stroke Scale Training Course certification preferred
