At Verovian Nursing Agency, we are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with flexible shifts and a weekend rotation.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, which is estimated to be around $45-$50 per hour based on industry standards for similar positions in the Pacific Northwest region. With this attractive compensation package, you'll have the flexibility to balance your personal and professional commitments.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing patients in the critical recovery period after surgery, ensuring that they receive the best possible care during their post-anesthesia recovery. You'll work closely with an outstanding team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and monitoring the vital signs of post-anesthesia patients, such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
  • Administering medications, including pain relief medications, as ordered by the physician and monitoring the patient's response to them.
  • Assisting with the recovery of patients from anesthesia and monitoring for potential complications.
  • Ensuring that patients are adequately prepared for discharge from the PACU, including providing post-operative education and instructions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • An active and unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA.
  • Completion of training or certification in post-anesthesia care and/or critical care nursing.
