About the Role:

As a Therapeutic Care Specialist at Maine Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients on our 6-bed general adult psychiatric unit. This dynamic environment focuses on safety and symptom stabilization, with the goal of transferring patients to another adult unit when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living skills and follow treatment plans to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Develop and implement innovative therapeutic interventions to promote patient engagement and growth.
• Collaborate with the team to facilitate community groups and provide support to patients during transports.

Requirements:

• High school diploma and equivalent experience preferred; Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Services preferred.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
• No prior experience necessary, but a passion for making a positive impact is essential.
