Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and nursing staff.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Wound Care Program and its objectives.
  • Engage in staff development activities and responsibilities.
  • Deliver educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in implementing and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of practice in line with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to address all aspects of care aimed at promoting wound healing.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for wound management as directed by the physician.
  • Help develop individualized treatment plans for each resident under your care.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with physicians regarding resident care and assist regulatory inspectors as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Innovate and implement new ideas and processes to enhance healthcare delivery and achieve outstanding results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Current Wound Care and CPR certifications are mandatory. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Wound Care is required, with two (2) years preferred.
  • A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of practice is essential.
  • Must demonstrate qualifications, compassion, and a commitment to excellence in care.
