Job Summary:

BayCare Health System is seeking a skilled Pacemaker Technician to join our team. As a Pacemaker Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation and device management to patients under the supervision of a physician

• Educate patients and families regarding device function, clinic follow-up scheduling, and device home monitoring

• Ensure correct billing and coding of device checks

• Identify opportunities for enhanced workflow in the clinics in collaboration with management

• Assist with wound checks following implants

• Assist the physician and other healthcare professionals in related technical areas as needed

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED

• Cardiology Arrhythmia Certification and 3 years of healthcare experience or 1 year of Cardiology experience

• RN license and 5 years of implanted cardiac device experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working with programmers from major device companies and utilizing remote monitoring sites from major device companies

• CRAT Certification (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician), RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist), CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist), or CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
