Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse (RN) serves as a vital member of the healthcare team, taking on the responsibility for evaluating, planning, implementing, and assessing patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN integrates technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and collaborates with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nurse, your daily tasks will include:
- Assessing and addressing the psychological and physical needs of patients.
- Promoting high-quality care with a focus on the well-being of patients and their families.
- Communicating effectively and compassionately with patients and team members.
- Assisting in the formulation of personalized treatment plans.
- Adhering to evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols.
- Supervising care provided by LPNs and/or CNAs.
- Engaging in clinical team discussions.
- Following established hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is essential.

Registered Nurses holding an ASN/ADN degree are required to obtain a BSN degree within four (4) years from their date of hire, unless they possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of continuous RN experience in an acute care environment.

Failure to achieve a BSN within this timeframe may lead to employment suspension or termination.

Any RN taking legally protected leave during the four (4) year completion period may have the timeframe extended accordingly.


Licensure:
A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is mandatory.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification is required upon hire or must be obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval. (ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications may be necessary depending on the unit or service.)

Physical Demands:
The role requires:
- The ability to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent communication with patients, care providers, and visitors, necessitating clear verbal and auditory skills, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity for handling intricate equipment with precision.
- Regular computer use for documenting patient care and accessing information.
- The capability to lift and move patients, as well as bend to retrieve and carry supplies.
- Assisting with patient transport and obtaining necessary supplies.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
