Biomedical Equipment Technician Programs Coordinator

About the Role:

Rice University is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician Programs Coordinator to support healthcare technology management (HTM) and BMET-related activities across NEST program sites in implementing countries.

The ideal candidate will provide oversight and support to NEST country programs' BME managers in executing workplans, including procurement support for non-Hatch supplied devices, toolbox selection, budgeting, and tracking deliveries against orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to NEST country programs' BME managers in executing workplans.
  • Develop and revise technical training materials, including technical modules, job aids, and mentorship guidelines.
  • Support the delivery of BME provider courses in new contexts when necessary.
  • Collaborate with NEST country programs' BME managers to conduct regular in-person and online webinars in partnership with BMET Professional Associations.
  • Monitor and support data collection for monitoring and evaluation (MandE) purposes, including maintaining event logs, context trackers, and other defined systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • One (1) year of related experience in healthcare technology management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, and research skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, to participate actively, to collaborate and to motivate others.
