About the Role

AlixPartners GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Disputes and Valuations practice within Risk Advisory. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experts to address complex issues in commercial litigation, business valuations, and investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analyze factors affecting litigation damages or valuations, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and tools.
  • Review and summarize complex materials produced in litigation matters, including depositions and financial statements, to identify key issues and trends.
  • Develop and assess comprehensive projections and forecasts, incorporating valuation theory and financial modeling.
  • Create sophisticated financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) models, to evaluate business valuations and litigation damages.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in written and oral form, including drafting expert reports and presentations, to convey complex ideas and findings.
  • Manage large data sets and apply statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends, ensuring high-quality results and insights.
  • Perform quality control review over work product to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Organize and maintain complex documents and work papers, including preparing supporting materials for litigation and valuation reports.
  • Oversee and train other professional staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or mathematics required; Master's degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working in a professional services firm providing valuation, dispute, litigation, and/or investigative services.
  • Certifications such as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Accredited in Business Valuation viewed favorably.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical abilities, with expertise in financial modeling and valuation theory.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial models and cash flow analyses, with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment, with a strong focus on flexibility and adaptability.
