About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PhD Associate to join our Commercial Litigation team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior staff on complex consulting matters, leveraging your expertise in economic research, empirical analysis, and external communications preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct industry, company, technical, or economic research to support litigation/dispute matters
  • Review, organize, and analyze project data and documents to inform business decisions
  • Develop and review economic damage models in various contexts to provide actionable insights
  • Prepare and present schedules and graphical exhibits summarizing results of analytics to stakeholders
  • Perform quality control procedures for client deliverables to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Prepare written reports and exhibits to communicate complex findings to clients
  • Attend client meetings and calls to provide expert guidance and support
  • Assist in business development activities, such as proposals and professional articles, to drive growth and revenue
Requirements
  • PhD in Economics or a related field, with a strong background in microeconomics, industrial organization, or econometrics
  • 0-2 years of post-graduate experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in economic research and analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in advanced database management and analytical tools, such as SAS, STATA, R, or Python
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
