Job Summary

We are seeking a Middle School STEM Associate Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School STEM Associate Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop as a teacher through on-the-ground experience with students of varying ages and abilities, with the end goal of leading a secondary Math or Science classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Support: You will teach daily, small group academic support lessons to students who would benefit from targeted remediation or additional challenge.
  • Substitute Teaching: You will substitute teach when teachers are absent or have meetings to ensure that rigorous, consistent instruction is continued even when teachers are out.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: You will lead daily recess and lunch duties, and develop strong relationships with students and families to contribute to positive classroom cultures with high expectations.
  • Professional Development: You will participate in weekly professional development and team meeting time, as well as coaching and support for our teachers.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have earned a Bachelor's degree by the start of the school year.
  • Commitment: You can commit to our schedule: (7:25 am-3:50 pm).
  • Experience: Previous jobs, student teaching, internships, and/or volunteer experiences working with children and/or teaching certification are preferred but not required for this role.
