Job Summary

Mid-Ohio Pipeline is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will possess the ability to safely and skillfully operate equipment for the construction of natural gas pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including rubber tire backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and directional bore machines, for the installation, removal, or maintenance of underground utilities and pipe installation.
  • Perform duties as directed by foreman, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Load material or equipment for transport from the show-up yard to the job site and secure as appropriate.
  • Inspect heavy equipment, including structures and materials, and detect or assess problems associated with heavy equipment.
  • Identify information, including categorizing, estimating, and recognizing differences or similarities in heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of prior heavy construction equipment operator experience.
  • Prior pipeline construction and/or pipeline laborer experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely and skillfully operate heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
