Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of 3D models and technical drawings for new products (experience with Autodesk Inventor is preferred).
  • Proficient application and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Design and development of machined and cast components.
  • Ability to generate multiple design concepts that align with product specifications.
  • Project planning for development initiatives, including resource allocation, budget management, timelines, and third-party testing requirements.
  • Conducting design of experiments for product validation.
  • Designing fixtures for both assembly processes and performance validation testing.
  • Communicating technical details effectively to non-engineering personnel, including creating assembly instructions and process standards.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype testing and evaluation.
  • Writing detailed reports, including product test reports, failure analysis, and benchmarking results.
  • Utilizing common lab and shop tools such as drill presses, hand tools, and torque wrenches.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Level: Senior
  • Minimum of 7 years in a related field
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Expertise in Product Design
  • Research and Development capabilities
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Machine and Mechanical Design proficiency
  • Experience with casting and rotating equipment
  • Understanding of magnetics
