About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Orthotist Specialist to join our team. As an Orthotist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, measuring, casting, designing, and fitting custom-made orthoses for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient conditions to determine the need for treatment
  • Determine the most suitable design options for the orthosis based on the patient's needs and expectations
  • Communicate with prescribing physicians to clarify expectations and detail available design options
  • Formulate comprehensive treatment plans based on input from various stakeholders, including prescribing physicians, patients, and rehabilitation team members
  • Select appropriate prefabricated orthoses or design custom orthoses to provide prescribed outcomes and alleviate patient limitations
  • Measure and cast patients as needed
  • Modify positive molds and provide complete design specifications to central fabrication labs
  • Fit patients with completed orthoses and make necessary adjustments for optimal function
  • Provide instruction on proper use and care of orthoses to patients and families
  • Document all patient contacts according to established procedures
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust orthoses as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 1 year managerial/supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience required
  • Certified Orthotist - American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABCOP) certification required

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
