About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Inova Fairfax Location. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in developing comprehensive care plans for patients, administering diagnostics testing, and participating in community efforts to support chronic disease management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop exercise prescriptions and risk factor modification plans based on established program standards and guidelines.
  • Review and develop individual treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Design exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Provide proper instruction and technique for performing exercises and strength training to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescriptions.
  • Report significant changes in patient clinical status to the healthcare team and assist with emergency care according to department policy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Kinesiology.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of start date.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
