Historical Preservation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Historical Preservation Specialist to join our team at Environmental Research Group, LLC. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work on various transportation, transit, municipal, and federal projects, providing cultural resources support for clients across the United States.
The successful candidate will have strong technical report writing skills, ability to conduct archival research, and field surveys. They will evaluate buildings, structures, objects, landscapes, and districts for eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and provide analysis and cultural resources content for NEPA documents and cultural resources technical reports.
Prior working experience in Section 106 regulatory process and direct experience in preparing Section 106 compliance documents is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team including archaeologists, architectural historians, historians, environmental scientists, engineers, and planners.
This position involves travel, with upwards of 25% local and regional travel expected. On occasion, travel within the continental USA may be required.
Estimated salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
