Recovery Counselor Job Description

At Trilogy, we are seeking a skilled Recovery Counselor to join our team. As a Recovery Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' personal, medical, emotional, social, and environmental situations to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Client-Centered Services: Provide individually-based motivational treatment and support to clients, focusing on their strengths and needs.
  • Community Support: Offer at least 75% of community support services, including case management tasks and documentation.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis/on-call coverage as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience working with clients with substance abuse issues.
  • Certifications: Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC), Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CRADC), or equivalent.
  • Other Requirements: Valid Illinois driver's license with daily access to a well-maintained vehicle and $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance.
