About the Role:

The Licensed Clinician (Child Well Being Specialist) plays a vital role in promoting the well-being and mental health of children at Deployed Services sites.

As a key member of our team, you will provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to children who have experienced trauma or are facing challenging circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of children's mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique requirements.
  • Trauma-Informed Counseling: Provide counseling services to children and their families, utilizing evidence-based therapies and interventions that prioritize their well-being.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions that address the complex needs of each child.
  • Group Facilitation: Assist in coordinating and facilitating psychoeducational groups and workshops for children and families, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely records of all clinical services provided, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent within the state(s).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience providing mental health services to children.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based therapeutic approaches for children, strong assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively within a team, and knowledge of child welfare systems and regulations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency and authorized to work in the United States.
